Description

Acclaro is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Information Technology to join our growing team. The Director of IT will lead a team of IT professionals and manage the corporate IT operations. This role will leverage advanced skills to manage all aspects of our IT infrastructure and business applications including security, compliance, policy and procedure, digital workplace, and cloud platforms.

Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructure and applications with a focus of security and compliance, have experience implementing and managing applications and technology in a multicloud environment, be highly motivated to create positive impact within a fast-growing company, show a proven ability to create cohesive teams with internal colleagues and outsourced vendors, and possess exceptional organizational skills.

Location: Remote, must be able to work within U.S. time zones, specifically Eastern Time

Responsibilities

  • Lead Acclaro’s IT Team including cloud infrastructure and services, IT projects and initiatives, company hardware, policy development, and security and compliance.
  • Drive the migration and management of Acclaro IT assets to a cost-effective, secure multicloud solution
  • Develop and manage digital workplace services that allow Acclaro colleagues to securely access systems and applications from anywhere around the globe
  • Manage the testing, integration, deployment, and support of new and enhanced IT systems and services at a high velocity
  • Lead, document, and implement business continuity processes
  • Oversee and manage the business software and systems platforms. Ensure integration across systems aligns with industry best practices, Acclaro’s business processes, financial measures, and related business functions
  • Implement and manage the security and compliance function to ensure all security-related capabilities align with Acclaro’s operations, client offerings, and standards
  • Manage IT related onboarding and training
  • Lead efforts to centralize and optimize our communication structure and processes such as file storage, intranet, and telephony
  • Recommend best practices and software to enhance productivity and collaboration across the organization
  • Implement technical solutions to solve complex business and department needs and pain points
  • Manage vendor relationships to supplement internal team and systems
  • Monitor and share changes and advancements in technology and security to ensure Acclaro stays efficient and compliant

Requirements

  • Full-professional proficiency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent military or professional experience
  • 7+ years’ experience managing one or more facets of an IT department
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and cloud solutions
  • Experience scaling the IT function at growing small or mid-sized company
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience
  • Understanding of and experience implementing “defense-in-depth” and “zero trust” security models
  • Experience with IT audits and compliance such as SOC, PCI DSS, ISO 27001
  • Experience managing department budgets
  • Ability to develop, manage, and implement an IT roadmap and portfolio
  • Proactive, collaborative, and motivated mindset
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Inspirational leadership style combined with a hands-on approach

Desirable

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, or MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • Experience in the Localization industry at a Language Services Provider or Localization Technology Company
  • Experience in strategic planning and decision-making based on business metrics
  • Experience managing technical products and systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • One or more AWS or Azure cloud certifications preferred
