Moreover, World Tourism Day brings awareness to different causes each year associated with tourism and world travel. This year’s focus is Tourism for All – Promoting Universal Accessibility.

Roughly 1.2 billion people travel abroad each year and while most people would consider themselves able to travel with no limitations, 1 billion people around the globe are living with a disability that may limit how much of our diverse world they are able to experience.

World Tourism Day recognizes that everyone should have the fundamental right to explore our planet without facing any limitations. Promoting accessibility to tourism around the world will not only help enrich more lives across the globe but also improve world travel infrastructure.

Beyond connecting the world through its translation and localization solutions, Acclaro’s mission is to contribute to a better quality of life for fellow community members around the world. We continue to strive to make a difference to as many lives as possible and we invite you to help make a difference to those around you and abroad.
