Once you define the style and tone of your company’s marketing messages, it is imperative to make sure they are delivered in a consistent manner during translation and localization. This can be accomplished by creating a style guide and glossary. When preparing your marketing materials for translation, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you have at least one desired format for all of your content?
- What tone should be consistently used across your translated marketing materials?
- Do you have a list of preferred ways to translate company jargon?
If you answered no, or are unsure about the answers to these questions, download Acclaro’s eBook for more information on the importance of creating a style guide and glossary.
In our next blog, “Sharing the Knowledge,” we will explain why having open communication with your translation team is vital to a successful campaign.
