July Webinar: The Basics of Website Globalization
On Thursday, July 30, 2009 Acclaro globalization expert Jon Ritzdorf presented a webinar on The Basics of Website Globalization. To view a recording of this webinar, please contact Stephanie Engelsen at sengelsen@acclaro.com.
In this one-hour webinar, Jon examines the ins and outs of preparing a website for new language markets. While businesses often assume that taking a website “global” consists of simple content translation, preparing a website for global markets entails a complex set of elements that should be approached with the same care paid to the original site’s creation. In addition to content translation, companies need to consider design, site architecture, technology and processes, including all the preparation, production and QA steps involved.
This webinar highlights examples, provides useful tips and covers the basics of web globalization by reviewing five core business questions:
- How will an international user find the site?
- How will they navigate it?
- What will they see?
- How will it be adapted to the local market?
- How will they interact?
